The methodology followed for the identification of  the truffle samples is analyzed in the following steps:

 

  • Delivery of sample
  • Recording of general elements of the matrix (date, date of collection, the collection area, type of vegetation, elevation and collector)
  • Cleaning of the outside of the truffle and photography
  • Microscopic and macroscopic observation (using a microscope and a stereoscope)
  • Measurement of the characteristics
  • Export of the results and reply to the client
